This is what happens when you marathon read HP Lovecraft.

It's original art, but I'm not gonna pretend it's not influenced by all the dark stories of anceitn alien gods that I was reading.

Considering this started as a doodle at work during my break . . . and I enver planned it out with pencil, I'm hugely impressed with myself *L*

I love this picture. It's not often I see a picture that really captures the essence of Lovecraft. I know you put advanced critique encouraged, but I really can't see anything wrong with this picture. It's as close to perfect as I can imagine! :heart:

WOW! Thank you! I would feel I'd be the last person to capture Lovecraft's essence (I tend to be bright and cute in my art ^^) so that compliment just makes me fly!

Good things come from feasting on Lovecraft. This drawing, in relation to many Lovecraft stories, hovers on the edge of recognition. The Thing on the Doorstep?

Actually no, I haven't read that one, I think primarly the Rat's in the Walls, what with that giant subcavernous city they found.
